Students from Mrs. Hyatt's class get hands on experiences in Steam lab on Fridays

On Fridays in Mrs. Hyatt's class, 8th grade students get the chance to try out various hands-on STEAM stations. These stations include things like Legoland, coloring with oil pastels, Botley 2.0 coding robot, Jenga, and more. Students get to spend the time in class learning to create new things, to communicate and collaborate with fellow students, and to celebrate their accomplishments, all while being screen-free. They are getting a glimpse of what the STEAM lab will become next year before they leave middle school and transition up to the high school. Students at Good Hope Middle have some fun times ahead of them as the STEAM lab goes into full effect during the 2021-2022 school year. For now though, the current 8th grade students will continue to explore and create new things, to build and to play, and to laugh and communicate with their peers during the last few Fridays that they have left in Mrs. Hyatt's class this year!
