šŸ“˜šŸ”¬ 8th Grade Science at GHMS!

Our 8th graders have been busy in the science lab exploring elements, compounds, and mixtures! 🧪✨

This week in Mrs. McSpadden's class, students became mini scientists as they mixed different chemicals to discover the difference between homogeneous (solutions) and heterogeneous (suspensions) mixtures. They loved seeing science in action — and learning that not all mixtures are created equal! šŸ‘©ā€šŸ”¬šŸ‘Øā€šŸ”¬

We love watching our students explore, experiment, and make connections through hands-on learning at Good Hope Middle School! ā¤ļøšŸ–¤ #GHMS #RaiderPride #HandsOnLearning #8thGradeScience

At GHMS, we celebrate students who show up every day ready to learn!
āœ… Each week, students with perfect attendance are entered into a drawing for Raider Bucks, which can be spent at the break stand.
āœ… Each month, the classroom with the highest attendance percentage earns a popsicle party and gets to proudly display the Attendance Trophy.

šŸŽ‰ For the month of September, congratulations to Mrs. Chiaranda’s class for winning with an amazing 99% attendance! šŸ‘šŸ‘

A huge thank you to the Helping Families Initiative and DA Champ Crocker for sponsoring our monthly popsicle parties and supporting our students’ success.

At Good Hope Middle, we’re lucky to have many special people who make our school feel like home—and one of those treasures is our amazing custodian, Mrs. Lacie. Lacie is truly sunshine in human form. She has a smile that lights up the hallways and a kindness that makes every person feel cared for. She doesn’t just take care of our building—she takes care of our people. From students to staff, she goes out of her way to brighten our days and lend a helping hand. The work she does is often behind the scenes, but its impact is felt everywhere. Clean classrooms, sparkling hallways, and a school that feels welcoming and safe—that’s Lacie’s touch. She is part of what makes GHMS such a special place. Lacie, thank you for the love, pride, and sunshine you bring into our school each and every day. We appreciate you more than words can say! šŸ’›

šŸ’”šŸ§Ŗ Exciting things are happening in the Good Hope Middle School STEAM Lab!

Our students explored the power of science by mixing everyday ingredients in water bottles to make balloons expand and contract. šŸŽˆ Watching their experiments come to life was a perfect blend of curiosity, creativity, and hands-on learning.

We’re so proud of their teamwork and scientific discovery! šŸš€
